HIV and AIDS
Since the mid-1980s, JSI has been responding to the HIV epidemic in communities across the U.S. and around the world through innovative public health and research interventions. In the United States, JSI has developed clinical standards and clinical training to ensure quality of care, integrated HIV and AIDS prevention and care into existing family planning and substance abuse training programs, and helped mobilize community resources to ensure that appropriate support is available when needed.

Internationally, JSI works to improve delivery of HIV and AIDS services, providing training and technical assistance in areas such as service planning and delivery needs assessment and outcome measurement. Rather than focusing attention on niches of the epidemic, JSI works with local partners to foster innovative initiatives that address and strengthen a continuum of care.
