As the world faces progressively more complex challenges in increasingly difficult environments and with often decreasing resources, efforts to reform health systems and make them more responsive to people's needs have become a priority, both in developed as well as developing countries. JSI works with ministries of health, with local governments, and with private sector and community organizations on issues such as decentralization, integrated health system development, private sector expansion, community participation and development, human resources development, health care financing, and policy reform.
