Strategic planning enables institutions to meet today’s public health challenges by preparing for the future, rather than simply reacting to short-term needs. Strategic planning is an essential framework for long-term growth. JSI works with managers and staff to build practical road maps that move them in the direction of their strategic vision. Our staff begins by helping clients recreate a mission statement describing their organizations’ purpose and philosophy. We perform a market assessment to better understand how developments at the national, state or district, and local levels might affect them. We help identify organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and we frame clients’ goals to help them move in the direction in which they want to go. Finally, we work with clients and partners to develop strategies to implement those goals.
