JSI’s survey research capabilities are comprehensive. Since 1978, JSI has designed and managed surveys and data management projects, both in the U.S. and overseas. JSI conducts mail surveys, telephone surveys, and in-person interviews with a wide range of populations and in various settings. Internationally, JSI provides technical assistance in all of these areas to program and project staff and builds local capacity to conduct household, community and facility-based surveys. JSI surveys use languages appropriate for target populations and have included Cantonese, Haitian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Arabic as well as other languages and dialects. JSI has extensively surveyed diverse populations, hard-to-reach groups, and low-literacy groups. We maintain a mail/phone survey facility on site in our Boston headquarters and also conduct face-to-face interview surveys throughout the U.S. Survey projects have included community needs assessments, process evaluations, outcome evaluations and epidemiological studies.
